Welcome to Black Isle Campers!  Based in the heart of the Scottish Highlands we are your key to discovering the ‘Undiscovered Scotland’

 

We provide you with campervans that have been newly converted to a high standard.   As our campervans are compact, 4x4, automatic and drive like a normal car we find they are the perfect solution for those who want to veer off the beaten track and experience wild camping in a much more luxurious fashion.  As Scotland has no trespassing laws you are able to stop anywhere for the night – as long as you follow the country code.  Our campervans are ideal for those who are on a budget but who are not too keen on the idea of being under canvas!

 

However if you fancy having a shower and toilet block handy, there are plenty of lovely campsites scattered across the Highlands.  Please see our Ideas for your holiday page for a few recommendations! 

 

Our minimum hire period of 3 nights extends over both peak and off peak seasons.  This means that we do accept shorter breaks over the busy summer season.

We are situated on the Black Isle – home of the famous Moray Firth dolphins - 30 minutes North of Inverness. Our central location means you really are in the ideal position to explore the Highlands of Scotland. The Isle of Skye is reachable within a 2 hour drive – as is Fortwilliam and the ‘Road to the Isles’.  This presents you with the perfect opportunity to experience some of Scotland’s wilder but also beautiful and spectacular scenery.  Please see our Ideas for your holiday for further ideas of places to visit!

 

Black Isle Campers is based at Hillockhead Farm which hires out holiday cottages.  Why not get the best of both worlds by booking a campervan holiday with us and a cottage with Hillockhead? Dogs are welcome in our campervans at a charge of £20 – please contact us for more details.

If you would like a stress free start to your holiday we do offer a free transfer service to Inverness airport/train station on Saturdays.  During the week we can arrange transfers at a discounted rate.
